I started French tutoring with Sophie this year for my final year of French in year 12. Sophie is very approachable and uses a great range of resources (like listening tasks) to tailor specific areas of learning and her use of technology such as google docs makes lessons very easy to follow. Sophie has really helped me build my confidence in French this year thanks to her amazing patience. I was really glad that Sophie was familiar with the VCE system so that made it easier to explain specific tasks I needed help on improving. I found that her vast knowledge of everyday French culture was extremely useful to gain extra knowledge to use as content for things such as oral or writing assessments. Overall Sophie is very kind and patient and I am grateful to have had her help with my Year 12 VCE

As an older beginner in French I have found Sophie to be fantastic. Patient, encouraging, positive, supportive and challenging - she has allowed me to progress at my own pace; unlike a group class where I was swept along losing confidence along the way. Sophie creates a safe space to learn and is resourceful in finding different ways to explain concepts until I understand. I look forward to my lessons each week.
